A Covid booster and flu vaccination will be offered this Autumn to people at greatest risk of getting seriously ill. This year the Government have advised us to delay giving flu vaccinations until October as the effectiveness of the flu vaccine is only expected to last for about 10 weeks. We want to ensure that everyone will have maximum protection for flu over the Christmas period.
Therefore we will be beginning vaccination clinics in October as we are going to be co- administering Covid and flu vaccinations wherever possible.
We would encourage all eligible patients to have their FLU and COVID vaccines given at the Practice. Please do not contact the surgery to organise an appointment yet – text message and online booking invites will be sent out soon.
